'Liya Saviya' a Bazaar organized by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was held on 23rd March 2012 at the Riffle Green, SLAF Station Colombo. The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama graced the event as the Chief Guest and was one of the very first customers of the Bazaar.

This event was yet another novel concept of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema who aimed at promoting handcraft and talents of the Wives of Air Force personnel and Airwomen and to provide a significant opportunity to convert their skills into value by selling the products.

There was a range of items such as exclusive hand painted Sarees, Pillow slips, bed sheets, handmade wall hangings, ornaments and homemade food products.  In addition to this a range of games stalls and a music request stall was available for entertainment.

The Bazaar was patronized by the members of the Board of Directors along with their families, SLAF Officers, other ranks and their families as well as the general public.
