The National Throwball Championship held on 27th May 2012 at Katunayaka  for the year of 2012 was won by Sri Lanka Air Force Netball Team. The most important fact is that the Netball Team won this match even without a training under a Coach. On the request made, the Commander of Air Force authorized and facilitated the Netball Team to represent Air Force at this event.
