SLAF Caterers Complete culinary Training

No: 8 Flight Kitchen and
Culinary Training Course was conducted for SLAF Mess Stewards and
Caterers from 14 May 2012 to 6 June 2012 for a period of 3 weeks at the
Sri Lankan Catering Services Katunayake.
The course was organized by SLAF Unit BIA with the guidance of Air Force Headquarters. The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lankan Catering Mr. Sarath Fernando and the Commanding Officer of SLAF Unit BIA Group Captain WWPD Fernando MSc (Def Studies) in Mgt, MDS, psc. The Indian Production Manager Mr. Pande and Australian Executive Chef Mr. Antony conducted the programme for the SLAF personnel.
As per the course curriculum the SLAF participants were educated on subjects such as Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Bakery, Confectionery, Finger Foods, Food Safety, Food Hygiene and culinary art work. This valuable course has been offered by the Sri Lankan Catering services to mark the cordial relationship with SLAF.
