SLAF Ekala emerged dual champions in the inter unit Hockey Tournament for the year 2012 which was held on 15th June 2012 at SLAF TTS Ekala.

At the final encounter Ekala team secured the 2012 championship for the fifth consecutive year in the both categories of 7 a side and 11 a side beating No 26 Regiment wing and SLAF Base Anuradhapura respectively.

The event graced by Director of Logistics and Chairman Air Force Hockey Air Vice Marshal KVB Jayampathy, Base Commander SLAF Base Anuradhapura Gp Capt SJS Fernando, Commanding Officer SLAF TTS Ekala Gp Capt LD Gunawardana and many others were also present.
