Kitchen and Culinary Training Course for SLAF Gunners

NO: 9 Flight Kitchen and Culinary Training Course was conducted for Gunners from 11th June 2012 to 29th June 2012 for a period of 3 weeks and parallelly 1st Advance Kitchen and Culinary Training for SLAF Mess Stewards and Caterers were also conducted at the Sri Lankan Catering Services from 1st  June 2012 to 29th June 2012.

The course was organized by SLAF Unit BIA with the approval of Air Force Headquarters. The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sarath Fernando and the Commanding Officer of SLAF Unit BIA Group Captain WWPD Fernando MSc (Def Studies) in Mgt, MDS, psc. The Production Manager Mr. Pande and Executive Chef Mr. Anthony conducted the programme for the SLAF personnel.

As per the course curriculum the SLAF participants were educated on subjects such as Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Bakery, Confectionery, Finger Foods, Food Safety, and Food Hygiene. These valuable courses have been offered by the Sri Lankan Catering Services to mark the cordial relationship with SLAF.
