Well Woman Clinic Held at SLAF Hospital Guwanpura
Under the patronage of the Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF station Colombo, SLAF Hospital Guwanpura conducted a Well Woman Clinic on 20th July 2012 in collaboration with the Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka. Mrs. Roshani Gunatilleke, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
This program offered a free and confidential health service for all woman. This service was provided by a well experienced medical Staff and the hospital staff of the SLAF Guwanpura. The occasion was also graced by the Commanding Officer of the SLAF Station Colombo Air Commodore KFR Fernando.Lady Officers, Airwoman and wives of service personnel were amongst the participants who were benefited from this programme.
A series of health educational sessions regarding breast cancer, cervical cancers contraceptive methods, self-breast examination were carried out by the Director Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka Dr. Sumithra Thisera with the Station Medical Officer Squadron Leader HMA Priyadarshani and the staff of the SLAF Hospital Guwanpura.
