Sri Lanka Air Force won the Defense Service Hockey Championship 2012 by defeating Sri Lanka Army by 3 goals to 2. The 3 goals for SLAF were scored by Cpl Abeyrathna,Cpl panditharathna and LAC Mulafer.The tournament was held on 22nd July 2012 at Nandamithra Ekanayake ground Matale.

Director of Logistic and Chairman of SLAF Hockey, Air Vice Marshal KVB Jayampathy and Secretary of SLAF Hockey, Squadron Leader Kularathna were also present at the final showdown.
