The first ever Operational Performance Development Course for Administrative Regiment Officers was successfully conducted at SLAF Diyathalawa from 30 Oct to 3 Nov 12 to enhance the analytical capabilities and to uplift the operational briefing skills of officers in the rank of Squadron Leader.

The course comprised of 11 officers and they were exposed to TEWT (Tactical Exercise without Troops), lectures on leadership, operational planning, troop leading procedure and military map marking. The Exercise “Green Rock Apes” designed on a narrative made the officers to conduct a number of verbal operational briefings. The course culminated with a mock dining night on 3 Nov 12.
