Air Cdre NHV Gunaratna handed over the command of Sri Lanka Air Force Base Vavuniya to Air Cdre PDKT Jayasingha on 01 January 2013.
 
The traditional “Handing over Taking over” parade was commanded by Squadron Leader DNS Halahakoon. After the parade, blessings were obtained  from all four religions for the New Year and all rank breakfast were also organized for the event.
