No. 2 Air Defence Radar Squadron of SLAF Base Vavuniya celebrated its 7th Formation Day on 10th March 2013 giving prominence to social and religious activities.

In view of this occasion sports items were donated to Etambagaskada Vidyalaya, fulfilling the long outstanding requirement to boost up the sports skills of school children. A newly constructed volleyball court was also handed over by the squadron personnel to mark the event. A dental campaign was conducted at the school in order to improve the oral hygiene of school children. Base Commander of SLAF Base Vavuniya Air Cdre PDKT Jayasinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The Formation Day working parade was held on 10th March 2013 which was followed by the blessings from religious dignitaries of the area and a tea party. A friendly cricket match was also played among the squadron personnel as the part of the event.
