Eagles’ Cafe Weerawila Declared Open by Hon Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa

The Eagles’ Cafe Weerawila was declared open by Hon Chamal Rajapaksa the Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka on 12 June 2013 on the invitation of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama.
The newly constructed cafeteria is a high quality restaurant which would give guests the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of menus at concessionary prices. The Kiddies Park and the “Eagles’ Avro” aircraft make the Eagles’ Café a very unique and eye-catching venue of entertainment. This venture will benefit SLAF personnel utilizing holiday home facilities at this Unit and the general public who visit Katharagama, Yala and Bundala areas. The cafe was completely designed and built by personnel of the Directorate of Civil Engineering of the SLAF.
The opening ceremony continued with an evening party at the Eagles Café with the presence of members of the Air Force Board of Management, distinguished guests from the local area, the Commanding Officer SLAF Unit Weerawila Group Captain MDJ Wasage and senior whilst the Air Force Oriental Orchestra and dancing Troop added glamour to the evening.
