The passing out parade of the 3rd Air Wing School Cadets Annual Assessment Camp was held on 15th June 2013 at Sri Lanka Air Force Station Diyatalawa. Major General GBW Jayasundara  the Director of the National Cadet Corps took the salute as the Chief Guest of this occasion

The Annual Assessment Camp  which was conducted under the aegis of the Commanding Officer Group Captain WWPD Fernando by Officer Commanding Training Wing Commander PVK Senadheera  concluded with a colourful parade at the Bentley Grounds at at Sri Lanka Air Force Station Diyatalawa.

Seven hundred and sixty five (765) school air wing cadets from thirty one (31) schools took part in the competition for the third time from all corners of the country irrespective of race and religion. The cadets were assessed on Director’s Examination, Confidence Test, Squadron Drill, Firing, Billet Inspection, Physical Efficiency Test and Concert.

The trophy for the first place was won by St Peter’s College Colombo. The second and third places were secured by Bandaranaike College Gampaha and Risikala Aesthetics College Mawilmada respectively.

Major General GBW Jayasundara  the Director of the National Cadet Corps gave away the awards whilst the Director Welfare of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Vice Marshal MLK Perera, former Commanding Officer Group Captain AJ Amerasinghe  together with senior officers of the army graced the occasion as guests of honour.  

7/AW 0152 Sgt Wijayananda DT of Bandaranaike College from Gampaha emerged as the Best Commander.
