Indian Air Force Cricket Team Fought with its Counterparts in Sri Lanka

The Indian Air Force cricketers now in Sri Lanka for a fellowship cricket series which includes two ODs and two Twenty 20 games, which begun with the first game where they met their counterparts at the Rifle Green Grounds in Colombo yesterday (8th July 2013). The Indian team won the toss and decided to bat first in the 40 over game. Their strong batting line-up, which included Soumik Chaterjee (37) and Rajat Paliwal (63) who played the quintessential captain’s inning, put up the hosts with a daunting challenge of acquiring 195 within the 40 overs. After being put into bat Sri Lankan Air Force team all out for 182 in 39.1 overs and conceded defeat to the Indian Air Force team.

The Sri Lankan Air Force cricket team will host the next OD game on 10th and two Twenty 20 games on 12th and 13th July 2013 at SLAF Rifle Green Grounds in Colombo.
