Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Kabaddi team emerge Champions defeating Sri Lanka Navy team whilst the SLAF Men’s team  became the Joint Champions with the Sri Lanka Army team at the National Kabaddi Championship held on 28th and 29th September 2013 at Matara Uyanwatta Stadium.
 
At the women’s final, defending Champions Air Force Women beat Navy 23 to13 having beaten Army comprehensively at the semi-final. Air Force “A” beat Navy “A” and Army “A” beat Air Force “B” at the semis to qualify for the finals. But the finals of the Men’s Championship had to be called-off at the halftime due to bad light when Air Force “A” was leading. The trophy was shared with the Army “A” and Air Force being declared as Joint Champions.  

The Chief Minister of Sabaragamuwa Province and President of the Sri Lanka Amateur Kabaddi Federation Hon. Maheepala Herath graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Chairman of Air Force Kabaddi Gp Capt RMMB Werellagama and Treasurer of the Sri Lanka Amateur Kabaddi Federation Wg Cdr PN Fernando also participated at the event.
