Inter Unit Cycling Championship 2013
The Sri Lanka Air Force’s ‘Inter Unit Cycling Championship 2013’ was held yesterday (4th Oct 2013) at SLAF Unit Katukurunda. SLAF Base Anudradhapura won the Men’s Championship whilst SLAF Unit BIA won the Women’s Title. No 26 Regiment Wing of SLAF Base Katunayake and SLAF Station Colombo became the Runners-up in men’s and women’s categories respectively. The event is held annually amongst the SLAF Bases/Stations to promote the sport within the SLAF and select competent riders to represent SLAF.
Director Welfare Air Vice Marshal MLK Perera graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Chairman SLAF Cycling Air vice Marshal GP Bulathsinhala and Commanding Officer SLAF Station Katukurunda Wing Commander PSN Fernando were also present at the event.
