English Language Day 2013

The “English Language Day 2013” of the Sri Lanka Air Force was held last evening (04th October 2013) at the Auditorium of the SLAF TTS Ekala. This was organized by the Language Unit of SLAF TTS Ekala for the Fifth consecutive year.
The “Annual English Language Day” is Considered as a turning point to Upgrade the professional standard of English Knowledge of both Officers and Airmen of the SLAF and also provide a good stage for the personnel to display their talent and to enhance their skills as well.
The program which included competitions for drama, song, speech, essay writing, Narrating Stories, Dictation and etc, was conducted from 16th to 20th September 2013 at the SLAF TTS Ekala and the winners or winning teams of each event were selected to perform at the “English Day”, which was held on the 4th of October 2013.

Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Director Aeronautical Engineering Air Vice Marshal PDJ Kumarasiri, Director Training Air Vice Marshal K Yahampath, Commanding Officer SLAF TTS Ekala Group Captain P Ranasinghe, Officers and Other Ranks were also present at the event.
