With an intention to facilitate the request made by the NOKs of deceased service members, the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama authorized financial grants as a distress relief initiative for NOKs.

Relief was granted to NOKs of two deceased service members through the Central Welfare & Rehabilitation Fund (CW&RF) collaborating with Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit last morning (7th November 13) at the Seva Vanitha Unit AFHQ Colombo, under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF SVU Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema.

Air Cdre PDA Maristella the Senior Staff Officer (SSO) Directorate of Welfare, Officers, and the NOKs of deceased servicemen were also present on the occasion.
