Major General Zhang Long calls on The Commander of The Air Force

A Delegation of Chinese Military Officials
headed by Major General Zhang Long called on the Commander of the Air
Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama, this evening (8th November 2013)
at Air Force Headquarters Colombo.
The delegation which comprises of six senior Chinese Military Officers was accompanied by the Defence Attache of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka. The delegation was received by Director Training Air Vice Marshal K Yahampath.

The Commander had a discussion with the delegation on
matters of mutual interest and conveyed the Sri Lanka Air Force’s
sincere appreciation on the extensive assistance extended by the
People’s Republic of China to the SLAF in the hour of need. The duo also
shared views on opportunities and possibilities available for similar
collaboration in the years to
come.
Mementos and gifts were exchanged between Major General Zhang Long and the Commander of the Air Force to mark this memorable occasion.
