The Air Force 09th Open Squash Championship was held from 02nd November 2013  with the participation of 230 participants and successfully concluded this evening (09th November 2013) at the Sri Lanka Air Force Squash Complex, Ratmalana.
 
SLAF No. 01 Squash player Corporal Gihan Suwaris and defending Champion Ms. Mihilya Methsarani of  the Srimawo Girl’s School Colombo won the Men’s and Women’s Open Championships respectively.  
 
 The nine day Championship was worked off over the age groups of under, 13, 15, 17 and 19. It also included events for men and women open, men’s intermediate (over 35), over 45, over 50 and men’s and women’s novices.

The Director Operations of the Air Force Air Vice Marshal GP Bulathsinghala graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Chairman SLAF Squash Air Vice Marshal MLK Perera, Base Commander SLAF Base Ratmalana Air Commodore PKDT Jayasingha, President of the Sri Lanka Squash Federation Commodore Palitha Weerasinghe and Senior Officers of the SLAF also graced the occasion.
