The Passing Out Ceremony Of No 58 Non-Commissioned Officers’ Management Course

The certificate awarding ceremony of No. 58
Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course was held at the Ground
Training Wing auditorium of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay on
13th June 2014. Air Commodore KFR Fernando, the Staff Officer Ground – I
of the Directorate of Ground Operations, graced the ceremony as the
Chief Guest.
The primary objective of conducting this course is to provide Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF with a sound academic and managerial knowledge while sharpening leadership qualities. The course runs through a well-formed syllabus over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. The comprehensive course is affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfil the required criteria are awarded with a Certificate in Management.
The 58th batch comprised of 42 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 41 Junior Non Commissioned Officers of SLAF, 2 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SL Army and a Chief Petty Officer and a Petty Officer of SL Navy, all of whom successfully completed the course.
25057 Sergeant De Silva SHMS (Clk GD SP I) was selected the best all-round Senior Non Commissioned Officer and 29308 Corporal Kumara KSM (Ops Air), the best all-round Junior Non Commissioned Officer. Other special award winners are as follows.
