The Defence services Volleyball Men’s and Women’s championships were worked out at the SLAF Base Katunayake Indoor Stadium, on 4th July 2014. The Men’s final match was between the Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Army teams, both having earned the reputation of being strong teams in the country at present. The Women’s  final match was between the Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Navy both of which are also considered strong teams in the local arena.

In the women’s final, the SLAF team beat the Navy team 25-07, 25-08 and 25-21 respectively. The energetic beginning of the men’s match between SLAF and the Army didn’t last long and Airmen comprehensively defeated the Soldiers 26-24, 25-16 and 25-19 to clinch the championship.
