Sri Lanka Artillery’s pet project, ‘Gunner Supercross - 2014’ motor racing event at Minneriya Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) track, got underway on Sunday (3 Aug 14), amid a huge gathering of spectators and well-known drivers and riders.

Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke, Commander of the Air Force was the Chief Guest at the event which was also honoured by the attendance of Mrs Shiranthi Rajapaksa, the First Lady.  Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake, Commander of the Army was the Guest of Honour at the event flanked by many officers of the Sri Lanka Army.
