The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Housing Project “Guwan Lak Sevana” was inaugurated on 11 Sep 14 under the patronage of Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke and Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Roshani Gunatilleke. The Foundation Stone Laying ceremony of the  initial house, which would be provided under this project to 18774 Sgt Preethi Kumara DGJ was held on 11 Sep 14 at  Habaraduwa, Galle.
 
The “Guwan Lak Sevana” housing project is a novel concept of the Commander of the Air Force which would be worked out under supervision of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit. Most deserving personnel in the Air Force will be awarded with a newly constructed house totally funded by the Air Force. As the initial stage, it has been planned to construct 15 houses.
