Another successful leadership development programme was conducted for prefects of 12 leading schools from Kandy.  120 young leaders from 12 boys’ and girls’ schools in Kandy took part in the programme which was held from 0900 to 1600 hrs on 12 Sep 2014 at Dharmaraja College auditorium.  A team of 07 Officers mainly from Kandy schools led by Air Cdre Sagara Kotakadeniya including Gp Capt Ayub Jabir, Wg Cdr Pradeep Fernando,Wg Cdr Manoj Kappetipola, Wg Cdr Sampath Hewawasam, Sqn Ldr Shyam Ranasinghe and Flt Lt Viludani Yatawara conducted the programme.  The programme was conducted at the request of Kandy Schools Past Pupils Association (KASPPA) who sponsored the venue, refreshments and all local arrangements.  The SLAF end was organized and coordinated by Cmd  R & D Cell under the guidance of CRDO Air Cdre Jayasiri Amarasena.

Students were treated to high quality lectures on leadership, dining and social etiquette, health and fitness, effective communication, time management and team building.  The subject matter was reinforced by enjoyable activities and demonstrations.  Overall the audience was very appreciative of the programme which was attended throughout by several teachers too, who enjoyed the programme and thanked SLAF for providing the students with this useful programme. Certificates were awarded to all the participants at the end of the programme.
