'Guwan Ran Muthu' Children Talent Show

“Guwan Ran Muthu’ a novel event in search of true talent of children of the SLAF personnel was staged at the Air Force Museum SLAF Base Ratmalana on 04th October 2014 and concluded as a resounding success.
According to a concept of the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU), Mrs Roshani Gunatilleke, this mega talent search was initiated approximately 3 months ago and conducted over the past 3 months in search of talent from all the Children who belongs to SLAF families with the aim of highlighting their vocal, dancing and entertaining and art abilities.
The talent search encompassed few stages during which initial selection was held at TTS SLAF Station Ekala. Further, the other steps graduated through semi finals and finals on the same day which was held at the TTS SLAF Station Ekala again and selected the little stars with a supervision of professional judge board. The Art competition was concluded at AFHQ which represent a large number of participation in this entire event. The intact programme concluded in a performance show of these stars which staged on today at SLAF Base Ratmalana.
The dancers, singers and Instrument players who were all non professionals, were well appreciated by the participants for the talents they displayed on stage, though these children didn’t possess any experience in the artistic field and they are in below age categories. It was also clear that the audience itself was amazed at the standard of the performances of these little stars.
The Chairperson SLAF SVU Mrs. Roshani Gunatilleke graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and the members of the SVU, parents of the children and children who represented from other Bases/ Stations were among the distinguished guests at the event. Furthermore Base Commander SLAF Base Ratmalana Air Cdre PDKT Jayasinghe, Officers of the Base and Airmen also witnessed this extravagant event.
