SLAF Katunayake Celebrates Independence

SLAF Katunayake considered as the largest air base on the island under
the direction of its present base commander Air Commodore Ranil
Gurusinghe, organised several community welfare projects coinciding
with the 62nd Independents Day of Sri Lanka.
During the past week various formations of the Katunayake base carried out several welfare projects such as shramadana with in hospitals, religious premises. Of the welfare projects carried out, a notable event was the special blood donation campaign with the participation of serving personnel and the civilian personnel in the Base.
