Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo added another building to its Inter-national pre-school at Guwan Pura in order to cater to the increasing number of children.

This pre-school was converted into an international level institution from its former position, under the direction of Mrs. Nelun Goonetileke, Chairperson of Seva Vanitha Unit in 2008.Subsequently the facilities were further upgraded to provide facilities not only to serving personnel, but also for the children of the neighborhood.
 
The increase of children from the neighborhood has resulted in the number of students rising to 77 for the year 2010. The staff also has now been increased by two more teachers to meet the demand.
