The No. 54 Junior Command and Staff Course commenced on 24th April 2017 at the Junior Command and Staff College, Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, China Bay. The Opening Address was conducted by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain SDGM Silva. The Chief Instructor and Senior Instructor also briefed the Student Officers about important aspects of the Course.

A total of 22 Sri Lanka Air Force Officers in the rank of Squadron Leader and Flight Lieutenant,  01 Officer from the Sri Lanka Navy in the rank of Lieutenant Commander and 01 Squadron Leader from Bangladesh Air Force are following the staff course for a duration of 15 weeks(24 April  2017 to 04 August 2017).
