Sword Of Honour For The Best

The "Best all round Officer Cadets" of the 49th and 50th Officer Cadet Intakes were awarded “Swords Of Honour” on 04th June 2010 at Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay. Air Vice Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, Commandant of the Academy awarded the replica Swords to Flying Officer Amila Wijesooriya and Pilot Officer Gayan Dharmawardana of the 49th and 50th Intakes respectively.
The "Sword Of Honour" is a traditional award to the best all round Officer Cadet of an Intake.This award is made to the Officer Cadet who obtains the highest aggregate from the Basic Combat Course, the Basic Administration Course the respective Branch Course and for all round performance in sports and discipline.
Commanding Officer Combat Training School, Wing Commander Indrajith Weerasuriya, Officer In Charge Cadet Training Squadron Leader Duminda Liyanage were also present at the occasion.
