SLAF Progresses to The Cup Stage In Caltex Rugby

SLAF beat the Army in a hard fought contest at Katunayake yesterday (13 June 2010) to enter the cup stage.
In the first half Lahiru Udayanga and Pradeep Kurukulasuriya went over for two unconverted tries for the SLAF. In the second half Chanaka Chandimal (SLAF) put over two penalties to seal the SLAF victory. The Army attempted a comeback with two goals in the second half but found it insufficient to shoot down the SLAF chances of entering the Cup stage.
Air Cdre Ranil Gurusinghe Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake was the Chief Guest at the match.
