42nd Batch of Management Qualified NCOS Pass Out of Chinabay

The NCO Management School, established on 01st September 2000 with the prime intention of providing sound academic knowledge to the Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF, held its graduation ceremony for the 42nd Batch of NCO's to complete the course recently (11th March 2010). The course which has duration of approximately 11 weeks mainly focuses on sharpening the leadership and management skills of its trainees.
This course which is accredited to the University of Rajarata was followed successfully by 60 students. The Batch comprised 29 Senior Non Commissioned Officers, 29 Junior Non Commissioned and 02 Naval Petty Officers.
The Awards ceremony was held at the NCO Management School Auditorium at SLAF Base China Bay in which Deputy Director Aeronautical Engineering Air Commodore LHA Silva graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commandant of SLAF Academy China Bay Air Vice Marshal KVB Jayampathy, the Commanding Officer of the No.03 S & MD, Group Captain SAS De Silva, the Commanding Officer of the Junior Command & Staff College Group Captain Sanjaka Wijemanne, Commanding Officer of the No.01 Flying Training Wing, Wing Commander AWSJ Aranayaka, Commanding Officer of the Combat Training School Wing Commander Indrajith Weerasooriya, Commanding Officer of the 24 Regiment Wing, Wing Commander CJ Batagoda were the other distinguished guests present.
Wing Commander TVD Deshappriya is the Commanding Officer of the school whilst Squadron Leader AMPP Jayawardana, Sqn Ldr PS Jayawicrama and Squadron Leader RSANE Rajapaksha play the roles as Chief Instructor, Senior Instructor and Directing Staff respectively.
