No 02 Mechanical Transport Repair & Overhaul Wing at SLAF Base Vavuniya celebrated its 4th Anniversary on 28th April 2018. While commemorating the event the personnel of the Wing renovated a toilet complex of Sri Gunananda (Primary) Vidyalaya Vavuniya and conducted a religious program at the Buddhist Shrine Room and Pillaiyar Kovil within the Base under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander UCJ Piyasena.

The Formation Day Parade was reviewed by the Commanding Officer after which a cricket tournament was organized with the participation of all service and civil personnel of the Wing.  The tournament was concluded with the award of locally fabricated trophies to the winners and runners-up teams by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Vavuniya, Group Captain LH Sumanaweera.
