An All Night 'Pirith' Chanting Ceremony was conducted at SLAF Base Vavuniya yesterday (27 October 2019) under the patronage of the Base Commander, Air Commodore Lasitha Sumanaweera, to mark its 41st anniversary and to invoke blessing on those who made the supreme sacrifice and who are serving at present.

In addition, the night was followed by an alms giving for 41 Venerable Maha Sangha. The reliquary was ushered in to the base premises in a colourful procession consisted of many traditional events.

The event was attended by Commanding Officers of lodger formations, Officers, other ranks and civilian staff along with their family members.
