SLAF Station Colombo and SLAF Academy China Bay emerged as the Men's and Women's Champions respectively at the Inter Unit Handball Championship 2019 which concluded yesterday evening (05 November 2019) at the Air Force Health Management Centre (AFHMC) Colombo.

SLAF Base Ratmalana and SLAF Station Colombo became the Men's and Women's Runners ups. Further, special awards were presented to the following players for their outstanding performance showcased throughout the tournament. 

 Best Male Player        -     Corporal Nanayakkara NSWSA (SLAF Station Colombo)  

 Best Female Player    -    Lady Officer Cadet Sasanthi SAN (SLAF Academy China Bay)

Air Vice Marshal Kapila Wanigasooriya graced the finals and the Awards Ceremony as the Chief Guest. The Chairman of SLAF Handball, Air Commodore Asoka Warakanga, Officers and Other Ranks were also present to witness the finals and the Awards Ceremony.
