89 CIVILIANS QUARANTINED AT SLAF QUARANTINE CENTRE PALALY LEAVE FOR HOMES

92 civilians who were repatriated from Italy and quarantined at the SLAF Quarantine Centre, Palaly completed the required period today (7 December 2020) and were sent home to their families. The Quarantine Centre at Palaly was established in order to support the government’s effort of controlling the COVID-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka.
The 89 civilians who were released today were made up of 37 males and 52 females and they had completed the required period at the Centre. On the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, these civilians were provided with all required necessities to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
These civilians have been instructed to further self-quarantine themselves at home for another fortnight. The operation and management of the SLAF Quarantine Centre at Palaly was done under the supervision of the Acting Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palaly, Group Captain WR De Zoysa and the staff of the Station.
