The change of command at SLAF Station Ampara was held yesterday (10 December 2020). The Acting Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Ampara, Wing Commander WMA Kumarasiri RSP, MSc (Def & Strat stu), MA (IR), psc ceremonially handed over duties to Air Commodore DCI Weerasooriya USP, isc, psc. Air Commodore Weerasooriya Commanded the Regiment Training School Vanni before being appointed to command SLAF Station Ampara.
 
Wing Commander WMA Kumarasiri will be remaining as the Officer Commanding Training at SLAF Regiment Training Center, Ampara.
