SLAF COMBAT TRAINING SCHOOL AT DIYATALAWA CONDUCTS PACE STICKS AWARDING CEREMONY

The Pace Stick Awarding Ceremony of the No. 48 Airmen Drill Instructor Techniques Course was held at the Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Diyatalawa yesterday (16 December 2020).
The Commanding Officer of the Combat Training School, Air Commodore PSN Fernando graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Officer Commanding Training, Wing Commander RND Senadheera, all Officers and Instructors were also present at the occasion. Further, Corporal Wijesinghe SDS was adjudged as the Best All Round Drill Instructor of the course.
A total of seven (7) Airmen qualified to receive pace sticks during the ceremony. The Commanding Officer addressed the new Drill Instructors and congratulated them on the successful completion of the course. The Commanding Officer also emphasized that through hard work and dedicated training they have reached an important mile stone in their careers and all the Drill Instructors should work with dedication and perseverance to discharge duties of their instructorship for the benefit of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
