CHANGE OF COMMAND AT THE JUNIOR COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE

The Handing Over/ Taking Over of command of the Junior Command and Staff College took place at yesterday (22 December 2020). The Outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain MDAG Seneviratne USP, MDS (UoK), BSc (Aero Eng-USA), AMIESL, psc handed over command to Group Captain MCM Fernando MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), BSc (Def Stu), psc.
Group Captain Seneviratne took over the Command of the College on 24 February 2020. His tenure has been coloured with many revolutionary steps, uplifting the teaching techniques and concepts ally with modern technology to counter the barriers which arose during existing pandemic situation. Further, during the tenure of Group Captain Seneviratne at the College, the complete educational standard was immensely upgraded.
The incoming Commanding Officer, Group Captain M C M Fernando was previously a Directing Staff Member of the Air Wing at the Defence Services Staff and Command College, Sapugaskanda.
