LANYARD AND CANE AWARDING CEREMONY OF GUNNER INSTRUCTORS AT DIYATALAWA

The Lanyard and Cane Awarding Ceremony of the No.57 Airmen Gunner Instructors Technique course was held yesterday (22 December 2020) at the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa.
The Director Training, AVM HSS Thuiyacontha graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commanding Officer Air Commodore PSN Fernando, the Officer Commanding Training, Wing Commander RND Senadheera, all Officers and Instructors participated the occasion. Further, Corporal Kumara HWIS was adjudged as the Best All Round Gunner Instructor of the course.
A total of Forty five (45) Airmen qualified to receive the distinctive lanyard and cane during the graduation ceremony. The Director Training and Commanding Officer addressed the new instructors and congratulated them on the successful completion of their course. The Director Training emphasized that through hard work and dedicated training they have reached an important miles stones in their carriers and that all the instructors should work with perseverance to discharge duties of their instructorship in the SLAF.
