The traditional Handing Over Taking Over Parade of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake took place yesterday (28 December 2020) where the outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain KC Geethapriya USP, BSc (Def Stu), psc handed over duties to Group Captain KMP Hewapathirana Eng, MBA, Pg Dip (Mkt Mgt), GCGI (SL), MIIE (SL), I Eng, MIM (SL). Group Captain KC Geethapriya will subsequently take over duties as Staff Officer Civil Engineering I at the Directorate of Civil Engineering.

During the parade, the outgoing Commanding Officer addressed the Wing and conveyed his sincere gratitude to all the personnel for the support extended to him during his tenure as the Commanding Officer. The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain KMP Hewapathirana held the appointment of Officer Commanding Mechanical Engineering at the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Wing SLAF Base Katunayake, before being appointed as the Commanding Officer.
