SLAF officially taken over to shoulder the Chairmanship of Defence Services Sports Board from SL Navy yesterday (03 January 2022) for the year 2022/2023.

This year the Defence Services Sports Board will be chaired by Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana and Group Captain Eranda Geeganage resumed as the secretary to the board.

The official Handing Over/ Taking Over Ceremony was taken place at the Indoor Sports Stadium, SLNS Gemunu, Welisara where the Official flag was ceremonially handed over to Director Sports of SLAF, Air Commodore Senaka Fernandopulle by Director Sports SL Navy, Commodore Ronalu Fonseka.  Secretary of the Air Force Sports Council, Group Captain Eranda Geeganage, Senior Officers and other officials of the Air Force Sports Council represented on behalf of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
