The Handing Over/ Taking Over parade of Ground Training Wing SLAF Academy China Bay, held on 31 January 2022 where the outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain WMDGCPK Warnasooriya USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), MA (IR), BA (Def Stu) Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc  handed over the command to Group Captain HMC Herath RSP.

Group Captain WMDGCPK Warnasooriya will subsequently take over the duties as the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Batticaloa.
 
The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain HMC Herath hold the appointment of Commanding Officer, No.31 Regiment Wing, SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport before being appointed to command Ground Training Wing SLAF Academy China Bay.
