The SLAF Hospital Colombo celebrates its 08th anniversary today (01 July 2022). The formation day celebrations commenced with the customary working parade reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain PAV Padmaperuma. Addressing to the  gathering today, he thanked all the past Commanding Officers, Medical Officers, other Officers, medical and civilian staff who contributed for the development of the hospital from its inauguration.

The Commanding Officer also extended his greetings to all the medical and civil staff thanking for their dedication and active contribution for the development of the hospital at present especially during this pandemic and preventive situation of the country.

The celebration was marked with the donation of dry rations and other essential items to Lankathilakaramaya, Borella with the participation of the Commanding Officer, all officers, medical staff and the civilians of the hospital.

Sri Lanka Air Force Hospital Colombo celebrated the previous formation days with several activities including medical clinics and blood donation campaigns for past 07 years, but this time the activities were limited considering the present situation of the country. The SLAF Hospital Colombo will continue its dedicated service to meet the future health challenges while striving to achieve its vision and mission.
