SLAF Station Morawewa celebrated its 49th Anniversary today (29 July 2022). The day's celebrations commenced with the working parade and the address to all officers, airmen and civil staff of the station by the Acting Commanding Officer, Wing Commander GS Karunarathne followed by a tree planting programme and a cricket tournament.

In line with the anniversary celebrations, a Shramadana Campaign and an alms giving were conducted at Revatha Children Orphanage, Trincomalee on 28th June 2022, with the participation of the Acting Commanding Officer, officers and airmen of the Station.
