The 12th Defence Services Wrestling Championship 2022 was held at SL Army Gymnasium Panagoda on 22, 23 and 24 November 2022.  

The SLAF Women’s Wrestling team secured Defence Services Games’ Women’s Wrestling Championship for the 4th consecutive time, bagging 03 Gold, 05 Silver and 03 Bronze medals. The SLAF Men’s team also emerged as joint champions with the SL Navy by winning 03 Gold, 05 Silver and 01 Bronze medal after 23 years. The SLAF Women’s Wrestling team remained the only unbeaten team during Defence Services Games history. The SLAF woman wrestler, Leading Aircraftwoman Karunasena HAN, was titled as the Best Technical Wrestler in the championship.
