Air Force Men’s Rugby Team once again recorded a victory against the Army Rugby Team at the Nippon Paints Rugby League 2022/2023 held at the Air Force Rugby Grounds Ratmalana. At the final whistle the Airmen closed the game 27 points to 16 against the visiting soldiers.

The 27 points scored by the Airmen were divided amongst Dunal Fernando, Denuwan Wickramarachchi, and Sudath Bandara, with one try against each name, while Nuwan Perera sealed the game by converting three tries and two penalties.

This is the second consecutive win for the Airmen against the Soldiers in this league, and the fourth consecutive victory considering the last four meetings of both teams. The Airmen are currently tied with the Police SC with match points and the next games of both teams would be decisive towards the final decision on the winner of the Plate Segment.
