SLAF AVIATION UNIT MINUSCA CELEBRATED 72ND ANNIVERSARY OF THE AIR FORCE IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC

In line with the 72nd Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force, the Sri Lanka Aviation Unit conducted a series of events at Bria, Central African Republic (CAR).
The celebration began with a cake cutting and all rank breakfast on 02 March 2023. Thereafter, all contingent personnel participated in a friendly Elle tournament, which provided for all contingent members to enjoy the day.
On 04 March, the SLAF Aviation Unit conducted a Civil-Military Co-operation (CIMIC) activity for school children in Bria, CAR. During the event, the SLAF Aviation Unit distributed stationery and sports items to 400 school children in Bria. In addition, a medical campaign was also conducted for school children in combination with the Rwanda Level II Hospital, Bria.
The Sector Commander, Sector East Headquarters MINUSCA participated in the event as the Chief Guest and Chief Inspector of Education in Bria and several principals from schools in Bria also participated.
