Ensuing cordial discussions between the Vice Chancellor and the Commander, the commemorative plaques were exchanged to denote the occasion. Subsequently, the distinguished alumnus of the KDU, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa paid the floral tribute at the War Heroes' Monument, commemorating the courageous sons of the KDU from the Tri-Forces who made the supreme  sacrifice in the name of the nation. Following the commemoration, the Commander took part in a solemn ceremony, unveiling his portfolio in the Hall of Fame at the University. To conclude the visit, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa endorsed his greetings in the Visitors’ Book marking his visit to the prestigious Kotelawala Defence University.
