NATIONAL DEFENCE COLLEGE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM 2023
The ‘NDC Research Symposium 2023’ of National Defence College was held at the Auditorium, Faculty of Graduate Studies, KDU yesterday (02 November 2023) under the theme “Strategizing Security Challenges in a Dynamic Environment".
The event was exclusively designed to promote defence research culture and create an environment to explore research ideas related to the discipline of National Security and Strategic Studies.
Contributions were invited from Course Participants on a broad range of topics pertaining to the fields of Strategic Studies, Sri Lanka Studies, International Security, Economic Security, Geo Politics, Science and Technology.
Presentations, productive panel discussions and interactions that took place during the question-and-answer sessions were instrumental to the audience in many aspects.
The Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the keynote address was delivered by His Lordship Justice Yasantha Kodagoda, Justice of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. The event was attended by the Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Wickremeratne, Director General Training, Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera along with senior officers of the SLAF.
