A new agro-product initiative was launched by the SLAF Agro Unit on 14 November 2023, at SLAF Base Katunayake. The launching event was attended by Commanding Officer SLAF Agro Unit, Group Captain Daminda Samarathunga. This project focuses on the production of chicken nuggets, utilizing fresh chicken and recommended food ingredients to create a nutritious processed chicken devoid of any chemical preservatives. These high-quality products are now available at the Agro Farm Shop at SLAF Base Katunayake and can be requested for distribution to SLAF Welfare Shops as needed. A 500g package is offered at a special concessionary rate.
